Citizens! - True Romance

A band from London, signed to Kitsuné, produced by Alex Kapranos from Franz Ferdinand; sounds promising? Their debut album, Here We Are, is coming out on the 28th of May and their songs are so dance-able.

Field Mouse - Anomie

I’ve always loved a sweet-sounding shoegaze band with female vocalist. So this band is a good adition to my list.

Fact: Field Mouse is based in NY and often tour with Allison Weiss. Get the album here.

M83 - Reunion

Their new album accompanied me on a 16 hours road trip last weekend. Bliss!

Polka Wars - Coraline

Whoa! Here’s a cool band based out on my hometown, Jakarta. It’s a delightful surprise when I read HandClapMovement’s post about them. I haven’t heard of them til now, and I wish I was back home to listen to them live. Really hope they would grow big both domestically and internationally.

The Head and The Heart - Winter Song

Summer gone, now winter’s on its way
I will miss the days we had

Has time driven our season away?
Cause that’s the way it seems
In the world of the speech that is new
I’ll be back again to stay

Sometimes I think my iTunes shuffle system can read my mind. I was writing something about a particular past relationship (I currently don’t have a life and I like to reminisce good times, okay!) when this song comes up. Fuck you, iTunes shuffle. Why do you like to torture this girl?
